| Moderator With Rocks In | Definitely faster for me as well. If you're experiencing problems when typing, it seems unlikely to be linked to server performance, as you only send the data when you click the submit button - so that sounds more likely to be some issue your end, unless I misunderstand you ![]() |

| Administrator | Have you got a higher resolution copy of that Dark Angel? Or at least one with a little less JPG compression? The detail seems lost due to compression in that pic... gpdesigner - Martocticvs took the words right out of my mouth. If your cursor is slowing down and you're having problems typing, it's got little to nothing to do with the site unless you're having issues with the flash banner. But you'd definitely be having issues with out sites using flash (an extremely high percentage of major sites these days) if that was the case. |

Downloads: 2 Uploads: 0 | The current version is loading a lot faster now. However, when I'm at home on dial-up, that header is a problem. Especially on threads that are image-heavy, having that header constantly load new images really slows things down. I don't mind the use of flash, but what use is it to have the banner constantly rotating images? Most people would look at it for a second or two before scrolling down to read the rest of the thread. My opinion is that the header should only load one image for every new page opened, kinda like the previous version of the site did. Maybe you could also include a popup arrow where you could manually tell the header to change to the next image? |
