Downloads: 8 Uploads: 32 | The New Skin Ok. I've gone ahead and turned ON the new skin for scifi-meshes.com. It's alittle dark (lighter version soon), but I've decided to tone down the site. The previous style, while cool looking, was a layout challenge. Every time I had to add something, I has to write a new template just for that area. In the interest of speed vs. design.. I've elected for this skin. It's NOT about what art is used to make SFM, it's about YOUR ARTWORK on SFM. I want the visitors to see YOUR WORK, with SFM around it. Not the site. Which should be a secondary consideration. I realize some of you may hate this design, but promise it was developed with several things being considered. Speed of the site. Minimizing template modifications (that's not referring to hacks). And allowing for other areas of the site (still coming soon) to display properly. Under the old style it would have been a nightmare. Like it.. love it.. it's SFM. The gallery still needs to be fixed. The downloads area opens tonight (can't mod things at work). The homepage should be online within a few days. Aceman |

Downloads: 8 Uploads: 32 | If you would like to have some of your artwork considered for use in the FLASH header, post your full sized images as attachments to this thread for consideration. I'll review what's submitted and place them in the rotation. Please include a line with your requested credit line.. EXAMPLES: Image by Chris Canada <-- Your name Image by Aceman <-- Your SFM nick When BIOTECHs Image appears in the header mouse over it, you will see how the image credits will appear. Please DO NOT submit work that is not your own. The image can be any size as the system auto crops it too fix.. however, the area at the top is exactly 900 wide x 150 tall. CREDITS ON YOUR IMAGES ARE NOT REQUIRED - Due to cropping I will place the credits on the image. |

Downloads: 8 Uploads: 32 | Links to the gallery, models, will be returning. I would add them back right now, but due to a firewall from hell at my office, the page for editing templates doesn't work. So I can't mod templates here. Apparently certain javascript actions are blocked.. strangest thing I've ever seen, buttons work in one area, but don't in another. It's gotta be related to how the script is called into action.. very frustrating though as I have alot of things I want to tweak and fix, when it's slow here in the office. But I can't because of the stupid firewall blocking the javascript action that makes the "go" button for editing templates to not function.Ahhh the humanity. |
