Yeah.. we had to pull everything that was touched by water. .. and up I think 2 feet (don't know w hat that is metric)..

Basically it's 4.5 feet from the floor..

And we still need to get the basement powerwashed and dried (moisture content wise) so that we can get our lights turned back on.. not like we can live there.. but it's something..

We are thinking of brining in a special company with the large dehumdifiers and fans.. basically if we had a few LARGE dehumdifiers and fans.. we could do it ourself.. I need to get a moisture meter and see how bad it is

We have not heard about if we get to stay.. last we heard.. it may be september before we hear

Mini Update (9/Jul/2008):

The city has lifted the building restrictions for Green and Yellow Tagged houses outside the 100 year flood plain. Green and Yellow tagged houses inside the plain has to be raised 1 foot above flood stage (this includes the basement)

We will be calling the city today to see if we can get our stuff done..

Things to be done:

Rip out the Bathroom
Final few power washes for Basement
Replace all Plugs / Switches / Light Fixtures
Replace Cloth / porcelin Wiring to Romex
Replace Electrical Panel
Wash the floors and asses damage
Re-sheetrock

Looks like alot of stuff.. but really if we can do it.. should only take a month or so to do.. and hopefully we can move back in..

Yeah well here's the kicker.. like I said we could probably be back in within a month with the permit,.. however the city can't guarantee that if we rebuild, they won't just take the house at a later date.

So we think we might wait a couple of weeks here, however we HAVE to get the permit within 30 days or the city will think we have abadoned the house..
