Site Update: Alpha

Well, im sure its not that hard. I mean, i could write a whole 2 page article on how i am learning Power Nurbs and what i found the best approach was. It could feature links to good sites for PN lessons and have some tips and tricks which i found usefull.

All it takes is something like that which would take an hour or so to write. I think its a great idea Comco, i hope something like this comes along soon

Aceman, whatever you do to the site im sure it'l be great. I like the shiny effect you have given to the windows, and the new title bar looks great.

My suggestions: I would like to see something about the headered wip´s there. Or, maybe, something like a "mesh of the month", or "featured tutorial". A random rendering could be presented too.

Looking good Ace! I like the look, including the way the news section stands out...right now, the front page just all blends in together too much.

I like Comco's suggestion of more content on the front page as well. Even if it's nothing more than a link to a member of the month page which let's us get to know others here a little better. I'm sure there are plenty of members here that are full enough of themselves they'd be glad to contribute a page about themselves

I like the changing posterboard thing with the title on it. The problem is the guys chins from the quake wars stayed while the chick from EgoSoft took over there faces... That and a planet. (but only when you enter the help forum? and it only happened once?! Whats going on?)

Just a thought. I'm liking the professional direction this is going.

its all very pretty, but with all the art made here over the years, it seems strange to see art up there that has nothing to do with our site and our artists

yeah what is with the T&A are we selling sex now? Headers seem to be hanging page loads, might be some other code related to it. I do have to ask since Im generaly ignorent of anything popular in the US, who, and why other than big tits? *me doesnt think photos should be up there unless its a comp from film or from the photo gallery. (JMHO)

Sorta nice to have it rotating though so we get more variety and new ones can be added. I agree with chrono about the insinuation we stick with SFM only works.

We're testing a new header system that will allow us to randomly display header images.

And we'll be diplomatic with what's in the headers.. but I'm not going to promise it's soley going to be from SFM members.. they'll be a big part of it, but lets face it.. good artwork is good artwork.

If you're going to do a random header display, will you do dual headers? Right now, here on SFM it's a priveledge and an honor to have your work displayed on the header. To randomize the header would, I think, take away from that. Unless you went with the "randomized" header, and a Best of header.

It's nice - great work. Not sure about the black and yellow stripes in the menu bar. Maybe go for something different?
