About my warning

Quote:
Dear biotech,

You have received an infraction at Scifi-Meshes.

http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/s...d.php?p=145984

Reason: User continually baited another user
-------
You are receiving this infraction due to your actions in JDR thread. You continually baited him without provocation when he had told you numerous times to drop it.
-------

This infraction is worth 2 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

All the best,
Scifi-Meshes
I did PM Viper as soon as I got this from him, but he went offline with no reply, but I am sure any of the staff that are online could answer a few things for me.

The link to the thread where I accumulated the warning isnt viewable by me, so I cant see the baiting I am supposed to have done.

I also cant see the "numerous" times I was asked to stop, which is a pain, because to my recollection, I was never told to stop, and in fact, the entire time was only offering constructive critisism, which was the hole point of the thread.

Many other posters had the same opinion as me, did they get warned?

I mean we need it clarifying, is it now against the rules to offer any critisism that actually critisises?

We need to know if replies are now limited to "wow", or "great", even if something looks wrong to us.

It would also be nice to know in future, that if any of us are flamed, and have posted before we were flamed, that the previous post will be retconed into a trolling attempt by ourselves.

I am not posting angry, I am calm, I'm not even asking for this warning to be revoked, the only thing I do ask is that if a warning is given for something that happens in a thread, then that thread remains visible for people to see for themselves, and especially visible to those warned for the offence, so they can actually see what they said, and try to avoid repeating it in the future.

Because right now it just leaves me guessing, and everyone else guessing too, and hoping that they dont get a warning if they try to offer helpful advice.

discussion of warnings is forbidden in the public areas of SFM, as you well know.

Viper undoubtedly does have a life outside of SFM, and as such the prudent thing to do would be to wait for a response to your PM, rather than campaign for an answer in public because an admin cannot immediately gratify your request.

Thread Closed.

Here comes the water, It comes to wash away the sins of you and I.
This time you see- like holy water, it only burns you faster than you'll ever dry.
