I've had the same problem since the last big site attack. I sent a note to Aceman about it.

This is a really annoying malfunction. It makes it hard to get motivated to surf threads.

Yes, it does...and we have yet to have an admin respond in one of these threads to even let us know that they are aware of the problem and (...maybe) working on it!

Keep up with me at my BLOG

Cool, others with the problem. I thought it was just me.

Actually Aceman is aware of it.

Science is an economic good like everything else, and it is very bad for production of high quality goods for the government to control the means of production.

I'm still trying to figure out what's causing it. Bare with me.

Oh, I figured you would be!

Something changed last week (I think). Suddenly I was going to a different page on a lot of the threads. Some stuck there, others seem to be advancing.

Thanks Aceman!

It's strange.. the link is only showing up for me on some threads and not on others. Then.. it seems to take me to a random thread (it appears to be). I'm testing this and hope to have it fixed today. I personally, haven't touched the forum settings within the last week because I have been working so hard to keep the server online.

The server - BTW - IS working MUCH BETTER. We had a short downtime yesturday because the "SEARCH" feature of the forum was attacked and several searched were generated within a few seconds. Which basically muddied up the server. The hosted ended the processes and I set it up so only 1 search can be done every 30 seconds. This will prevent future situations like this. The server has not LOCKED nor CRASHED in a week. Which is GREAT.
