| Polygon Knight | Physical Modeling Forum Question I saw the new physical modeling forum, and instantly a question popped into my head. What about Legos? I've seen some awesome models built using Legos, and personally, I love building with them, so I was wondering if they're fair game for the Physical Modeling forum. |

| I don't see why not. It is a form of physical modeling. Keep in mind though that some folks have actually done 3d mesh legos too. |

| This time you see | The short answer is no, I'm afraid. ![]() We've been debating this in the Admin Centre for some time now, as it was raised when we first began to debate the idea of a Physical Modelling forum. The official line from the SFM staff is that the members are free to post their work with Lego, but it should be in the General Discussion area. We've created the Physical Modelling section to answer the demands of those here who work with high-end model kits, and scratch-building who don't feel their work fits in either 2D or 3D WIP's. As such, we considered Lego to be a bit too "niche", on a site that is already quite restrictive in its subject matter. We also have taken into account that there are dedicated communities out there specifically for people who wish to model using Lego. |
