I have found some of my images on some other site that were only in the SFM gallery before. I don't think that whoever did that is a member here, or at least he/she didn't drop me a note when taking the pics to another site. Just wanted to know, Rob |

| This time you see | scumbags. There are anti-right-click scripts out there, but SFM is so full of hacks it would probably make the server implode if they added another one... |

| Administrator | Actually, our Gallery software does allow for the disabling of right clicking to attempt to minimise image theft. I've enabled this functionality. Unfortunately, there is no option to allow members to right click but not guests. Sorry to hear you had your work taken from this site Mr Wilde. While I certainly don't agree with their methods, they do have good aesthetic taste at least. ![]() |

I've had images of mine stolen, and the'yre only really stolen if they've had the credits removed. Like spud says, there's a simple way around it anyway and personally i don't mind if people save my pics to use as a desktop or whatever and wouldn't want to stop people using sfm images in that way - as long as they don't strip the credits and re-post them. So i'm against the changes to the right click because it: A - Doesn't actually prevent theft (if someones going to steal your pic and crop out the credits then they'll probably not be bothered about screen dumping and cropping the image) B - Makes it harder for people to add images to a desktop and use the images legitimately. |

I had a look at that site and found almost EVERY image I ever posted on a public forum. They leave the credits intact, but hey, what about a little note here and there? Yeah, the problem isn't the right-clicking, you're completely right. It's the attitude. |
