If I click on New Post under my Avatar, then I got the news, but when I click
on the New Post in the menu at top, I don't have them

This is actually defined in the templates. If you are using templates other than the SMF08 ones, you will not get the excluded forums from the new posts link at the main menu bar. It's possible that Ace forgot to change this in a couple of spots in the templates, and so depending on the link you are using, as Novak pointed out, you will get the News forums as well. I am at work right now and can't check on this with more depth, but a quick way to solve this would be to only use the new posts button in the navbar for the SMF08 templates.

All the older templates do not have the exclusions though, so if you are using those, you are screwed either way, heheh. Melak's tip will work though....if you bookmark that link, it'll remove the mentioned forum ids from the new posts section.

I just logged on and hit the 'New Post' button and I got 59 results, 26 of them for 'NewsHottie'
