that was me, your attachment space was 30mb, now it's 50, so that should last a while longer
nice work btw, it looks spot on for accuracy
I pity the fool!
Thanks IRML!
I play to model so that you can get about as close as in the last picture, maybe even a little closer (or, with motion blur, a lot closer). I just have to keep the balance between a super detailed model that will render forever and something that will do 99% of the job and render in a decent timeframe. I guess I´ll land at around 1 million polys, same as my JJPrise. Maybe a bit more - the windows with the slightly rounded edges will be the killer![]()

'You get home from work, the wife asks, “What did you do today?”
You respond, “I pancaked Q’s butt.” '
Some more progress - started with the lifeboat placement. Phaser banks are also done, impulse drive as well...
Pixelmagic - thanks, I´ll have a look at that.
homer - I use dropbox occasionally, might be an alternative.
Those windows are gonna be a bitch.![]()
hmm looking good!
are you using the same normal/bump map for the phasers that you used on the ambassador?? and.. when i've built this bridge module a few times, it seemed to me that instead of a rounded sphere, that it has a semi-flat top.. so curved to a flat plateau for the rest of the bridge module to sit on.. just a thought.. everybody sees with different eyes, differently!!
the windows on this thing will be a nightmare.. i don't envy you!!![]()

Excellent "D" mesh so far. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, even though it's not my favorite Enterprise.
I've followed this, and the other fan-made 3D forums since about 1995 or so, and while I don't participate every day it's very cool to see how the mesh quality has improved over the years. Sure some of that can be attributed to better tools, but most of it is the overall improved skill level. Cheers!
