    Here's a fast attempt to light the model with an environment similar to the original environment in which the 11 foot model of the Enterprise was actually filmed.

    I think it makes a difference.

    I was asked on another forum to create a render with the same setup that showed the warp engines.

    Changed the texture of the "triangles" under the saucer to closer resemble what I remember from the series.

    I was given a challenge by Adam 'Mojo' Lebowitz to try and make my tutorial Enterprise look more like the present day studio model at the Smithsonian. I'm still working on it, but here is the current status.
