NASA returning to Mars later this month

Good news, space geeks! The new Phoenix Lander is going to be touching down on the Martian Arctic later this month, and it's the most advanced Mars Lander yet.The Phoenix will be looking for signs of past life and checking out frozen water under the surface of the red planet. It was built using tech from the failed Mars Polar Lander from 2001 combined with new technology, making it sturdier and able to do more analysis once it reaches its foreign home. It has a six-foot robotic arm that can dig down a foot and a half under the surface, analyzing what it finds. Here's hoping whatever it does end up unearthing is friendly, eh?
