Robotic chair follows you around, offers you a seat

This looks like a simple seat, but it's really a robot. It's a robotic seat, to be precise. It's designed to follow you around a library, giving you somewhere to sit as you roam the aisles searching for just the right book.It was designed by Dutch designer Jelte van Geest for Openbare Bibliotheek Endhoven, a library design project. He wanted to make robots friendly and soft rather than mean and cold, like the Terminator robots we're used to seeing in movies and such. It looks like he succeeded. Check out the video of the robo chairs in action after the jump.
