Design of Galactic Empire of my own was developed through many years. And this is it. "Phoenix" class destroyer of GE in a hangar of the spacestation "Prometeus".

"Phoenix" characteristics are:

Length - 1270 meters;

Weapon - 4 long range plasma cannons

10 rocket/torpedo launch systems

3 long range lazer razors

anti-interceptor cannos

anti-asteroid cannos

30 pulse-lazer cannons

ion cannon

Deflector shields

The most powerfull light spaceship in GE.

Modelled in 3ds max 7 for approx. 16 hours for final render. Rendered in VRay - render time for 1280X1024 picture is 3h 43m 54s. Scene contains 25 lights, 54 objects and more, than 1 mln faces.

The ship design is good - I would give it a 9 if it was set in space! But, the hangar is too distracting, and draws my attention away fromn the ship.

Well, this picture was meant to show this spaceship in more "natural" environment, so I decided to place it into the hangar. And also, to make you think about the size og big ship.

I like the grand scale of it all. Although, rather than making me think how big the ship is, it makes me wonder how huge the station must be!

And that's if it is a station, it could be an even bigger ship?

"Prometeus" is a space defense station. And it is really huge. I'm working on it...

Paragon: I always dreamed of something flying in space of my own style... so, you may say, it was made for my own pleasure. But I'm VERY glad, that on this site you liked my work!

IainB: Right now I'm working on some "BABYLON 5" - style project, but station is coming soon! Thank you for your raiting!

Looks great. I love the hangar. Makes you pay attention to the detail of the ship. Imagine the size of the station. Keep up your good work.
