INCOMING MESSAGE TO FLEET COMMANDER VEROSHI.I.

PRIORITY

SUBJECT : The Planet Taros, a world of tranquillity and harmony. A world of peace and joy. A world on the frontier between the Earth Alliance and the G'grith Empire.

A former E.A. colony, Utami is now designated a Sanctuary World, a wholly independent planet that severed all official ties ties with the E.A. sixteen years ago.

At 08.50 hours A single G'grith Attack Ship emerged from hyperspace at co-ordinates 08729A and entered standard orbit of Taros IV.

At 09.05 hours the G'grith began an orbital attack culminating in the launch of a V'Prossan Torpedo

By 09:45 hours the torpedo had penetrated the planetery crust to a depth of 150 kilometers where it detonated.

The death toll is estimated at in excess of thirtyy five point nine billion.

This single image was captured and relayed to E.A. Central at 11.48 hours by the Clarke Deep Space Communications Platform E.A.C.P 36763/DELTA 2/5.

Not bad at all, but the debris looks kind of uniform - a lot of chunks seem too be flying out in pairs. Did you, perhaps, duplicate a particle emitter to increase the density? Or is this a deliberate effect? In any case, great concept

I've never really noticed the pairing. But now you mention it, it does look somewhat uniform. It was a few months ago that I created the image (certainly before I discoved this great site) so I can't really remember how I came up with the debris field.

I'm fairly new to 3D (about a year) and this was the first image that I've had the nerve to show. What I like about this Forum is that any advice or comment given is fair and given in the spirit of wanting to make the artist better and is not simply pulled apart and mocked.

I think I'm going to like it here

Is this supposed to be right after it got blown up, or sometime after it? If it's the former, there should be some motion blur.
