dredd2000 SFM Guru Registered: May 2006 Posts: 167	This cruiser inspired by BABYLON 5 TV shows. I've rewatched this series lately and desided to make something... This is how I think Earth Alliance HEAVY cruiser might look like. It has a very powerful weapon, including 2 plasma towers and rocket launchers. And it can carry more fighters, then ordinary Omega-class ships. Modelled in MAX7, renderer - scanline. All models are made by me. Planet textures taken from base Max materials with some additional work on them. Starfuries made in MAX3, very, very long ago....

Looking good. A few technical details however.

1) If it is "heavy" cruiser, it supposed to be long range ship. The crew number should be significantly higher then on standard "Omega". Single gravity drum for crew recreation . If I remember correctly, in B5 some of terran battleships use two gravity drums, rotating in opposite direction.

2) As far as I can see, the ship is completely unarmed from upper front side. Rear turret is blocked by gravity drum, front turret is blocked by main hull.

Otherwise really impressive work.

Stonecold, thank you for your comments and remarks! As for your 1 remark - it is a heavy cruiser, but with minbari technolodgy of artificial gravity, rotating part is used for defense - anti-fighter cannons, rocket launchers, etc.

As for your second comment.... I have nothing to say - exept of those two plasma cannons and some small guns there's nothing... Well, this will be a weak point of my ship.
