A light squadron of three Sword class destroyers from the Earth Defense Fleet emerges from the far end of the Tipler Array, into a new area of space. Perhaps here they will discover the greater galactic civilization hinted at by the attack of the rapacious Deltan "patrons".

From my novel-in-progress, "A Sword Into Darkness". Models and design are by me using Cinema 4D, with post work in Photoshop.

All comments and suggestions are welcome. Enjoy!

Is the composition of the pic too dark? On my home monitor and laptop, the detail is easy to see. On my work computer, most of the detail is blacked out, so I had to adjust the brightness and contrast. Is this something I should edit on the gallery, or should I leave it in the starker, original version that seems to look best on most monitors?

Hi amaysingstories,

Good work. Are the destroyers inspired by either Babylon 5 or Jovian Chronicles ?

Nope, Mutos. I can't say I wasn't influenced by B5 on some deep level, but these are original designs, with completely different design norms, like gravity by acceleration, missile armament, active radiative cooling, photonic thrust, etc. It's all from my novel in progress.

I'm almost done with a cruiser version that might be more appealing to this audience.
