this is a pic i did for an original universe project

being done by a freind and my self.

The ship is about 200m long and quite low tech compared to star trek.



Planet actually earth by NASA i Think.

Very nice design. Although it would benefit more with some sublte lighting coming off the engine blasts and a stronger main light coming from the right (in sync with the planet's light/shadow)

The advantage of "low tech compared to Star Trek" is to have big, fat guns sitting on a (usually quite ugly) hull which thus seems to be nothing more than a moving platform for the guns. I like this =)

Wonderful design! The rough look is carried all over the ship fits all around the shape of the ship. The front half reminds me very much of a homeworld2 destroyer. Is this where you got your inspiration?

Though I like Trek ships, they often seem to be too..... artsy. There's somthing to be said for those "ugly" hulls, and what I call, clunky designs, .
