I like this one. Something about the planet illumination vs the ship illumination though. Doesn't seem like they're coming from the same direction or with the same level of brightness. Perhaps they are and I'm just not seeing it. And sorry you seem to be getting hit in the comments. Some comments are valid, but some of your stuff is pretty darn good. Keep plugging away!

@amaysingstories: First of all - thank you for posting a valid crit. And for donīt misunderstood: I donīt have a problem with it ( and I also donīt see a hit in it - see also below !! )
But I also think that a constructive critz should have the right modality. ( good manners are not only important by posts )
The other affair is a personal problem between dark-phoenix and me ( there are some things that I donīt want to discuss here anymore - only for your knowledge: he think a rating of 1/10 would hit me, so he did so, and my words about it were only) for him, not for anybody else... )

I really like the lighting effect on this one, bravo. I'm sorry that dark-phoenix is being just a duss-bag to your work.

The illumination for scenes with an artwork background is allmost a tricky thing. By my first try for this scene the illumination was darker for the shadowed part of the ships. Unfortunately in space all shadowed parts have to be completely dark but than we canīt see much of this great meshes - so I used the same fake like we see in most sf-films and shows and illuminate this parts a little bit more than reality allows
I also think that the albedo of an atmosphere is higher than the albedo of a matt surface of an unknown metal-alloy
Also we can say: the terminator of the planet is not sharp enough and his dark side is not dark enough - but fortunately this is artwork and not reality and thatīs the reason why I like this picture from Hameed Nawaz ( Great Artwork, Hameed !! )
In the end the personal taste decide... someone like it - someone like it not: Thatīs reality...
