Passing Earth’s moon

This picture is of my spaceship USS Savannah during one last inspection of Savannah nuclear engines prior to its first burn.

You can see Earth’s moon off to the left as the Savannah leaves Earth and the moon in preparation for TJI (Trans Jupiter injection).

The model was created in both Bryce 5.5 and 6.1 then rendered in 5.5. This was done because version 5.5 seems to handle memory and computer resources better than 6.1.

All designs and concepts of the spaceship were created by me, the moon was a MOLA map imported into Photoshop and tweaked to create a bump map than applied to a sphere in Bryce and rendered.

With Bryce 5.5 I am still able to handle large files sizes over 1 gig and still able to manipulate the file; Bryce 6.1 will just freeze or crash. It does not matter how much resources you have it is always the same results.

Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on my work, it is much appreciated.

Cheers,

David

I like the idea behind it, and the look of it, a good ship design and nice Composition.
