The MFT-2A is a freighter that would no doubt be of excellent service in peacetime. During wartime, however these ships fared very badly when faced with roving enemy warships. The MFT-2A is the biggest drawing I have done to date (May, 2006) at 600mm long. I originally posted this ship on SFM shortly after it was completed in Nov, 2004.

Normally I shy away from freighters, but this one I will make an exception. It's really nice to see such a ship with such detail.

I'm not sure why you would shy away from such an important element of a fleet. In order to create the most realistic and well-rounded fleets, I have devoted a lot of time to the support starships of my fleets, something I intend to continue. Currently, the support elements I have in my fleets are as follows:

Calmenae:

DL-7C(I) Communications Destroyer

HL-1(I) Medical Starship

MT-1(I) Deep Space Tug

OL-1(I) Personnel Transport

QU-1(I) Small Starship Tender

QL-2(I) Starship Tender

TU-2(III) Small Freighter

TL-3(I) Freighter

TU-4(I) Small Freighter

TM-5(I) Medium Freighter (captured examples of the MFT-2A , actually.

WT-1(I) Training Starship

WT-2(I) Training Starship

WT-4(I) Training Starship

YL-1(I) Liquid-state Freighter

YU-2(I) Liquid-state Freighter

YU-3(I) Volatile Gas Freighter (for gases that can't transported safely in liquid-state).

Mission/D.C.U.

LAF-2A Armoured Freighter

MFT-2A Medium Freighter

Obviously the Mission is playing catch up right now and you can bet that's where most of my work is going in the near future. I also have two designs scheduled to be completed before 2007 that are support ships: The Mission MW-1A Work Bee and the Calmenae HL-2(I) Armed Medical Starship.

Cheers,

That reminds me, do you have a page that briefly describes the setting these ships are being used in? I'm rather curious. On the other hand, I'm currently working on the story line and ships of my own setting. If you look at my profile, you can find my email there if you think that will be easier. I'll see if I can explain mine too.

I'd be happy to PM/e-mail a bunch of stuff to you. Unfortunately, I'm extremely busy right now and won't be able synthesize some material for you. I'll try to get some stuff together for next week.

Also, I have recently posted my LPA-1A Assault Warship in the 2D gallery forum ( http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=1127 ) which you may be interested in.

Cheers and sorry for the wait,
