Talking Another Re-imagined Enterprise

Figured I would share this with everyone here.
First off NO I started this mesh before that trailer, and yes I have let it influence me a small bit. (bussard blender bits) This started out from the U.S.S. Lethe I did a while back and with some nagging from others, The deflector is a obvious carry over peice from that mesh.
As always this project has gone out of control and rebuilds and more polygons than planned. I hope to be done with modeling soon. Unless I decide to change something.

I know there is too much TMP influence etc And my bussard cowling has become WAY too much like someone elses reboot ship Plagerism influence or happy mistake? dunno. I tried to avoid looking at anything but the original TOS and the refit studio models while working on this. But in the end just a glimpse of other designs will effect what you do.

The bulk of the build up of this mesh can be seen here 3dscifi or at Foundation 3D

I am currently at a loss as to how the RCS thrusters will look. I like Vektors rounded ones, and would like to avoid a direct lift from the refit, done enough of that on the secondary hull. Adn the Arboretum interior, racks of plants for food or a park like deal.

Oooohh!!! You vile little rodent! Kidding. Sorry I never showed up on that Thursday...

On topic: needs moar turbolaser. I really gotta say that your work makes Trek ships likable. I really enjoy seeing what you come up with. If you ever want some animation done (I have the savvy now, but not 3DS Max) with your models just yell.

What.

I wish you had designed the movie Enterprise, that's just plain awesome!

What font did you use for the NCC-1701 registry number? The U.S.S. Enterprise is supposed to be "Microgramma". But I think the registry number is different.

Oh, wow. I really like it, especially the influence from TMP. I always liked the refit Enterprise.

My biggest pet-peeve is people saying they have a pet-peeve.

It is that federation wide which is a TTF copycat of Microgramma my only version of that font is some Opentype crap so max wont register it as a useable font, and none of my vector apps either. the 1701 is the proper use of l versus the #1 in the font. (small comment in some old starfleet tech book I have.) youll note the 1 is like mine on the trailer ship. IE 1701 vs l70l. Yu will note on the refit the 1 in it has a small hook the 1 in the font I used is really long and inappropriate. I mainly used the font since I like it, nothing more.

attachment microgramma is grey fedwide is white fed bold green stflt bdex bt blue fed starflt is pink and has issues. All the non outline text have the fugly 1. And I really didnt want to use the outline fonts.
