Here's my progress on the Enviropod. My concept is that the Enviropod is a radiation shielded emergency area, it also functions as a lifeboat, and long range shuttle craft.

She's looking great. It makes sense to have that be an auxiliary craft, since there's no place for a hanger bay.

Oh, that's intriguing... I thought that the ring had the warp drive...

nice arrangement, good to see it has some kind of drive units. the black circle at the centre of the rear end, is it an engine nozzle or an access hatch? although the shapes used here are simple they are very nice combination.

The engines are an older hybrid design. My explanation is that the early nacelle design of the Phoenix and Valiant eventually evolved into the ring design because of (insert technobabble explanation here). This evolution began with short vertical fins on the top and bottom of the nacelles. Whatever advantage they gave was increase as the fins were increased in size until eventually with the S.S. Enterprise the nacelles were eliminated and full ring design was utilized. The engines or the Enviropod are based on the previous generation of earth warp engines. They are more reliable for the requirements of emergency evacuation.

The black hole on the back is just an empty space I have yet to fill. I was thinking of a repair hatch of some sort. However even when docked in the ship it would require EVA to access it. The engine nozzles are located underneath the cowling flaps on the rear(five on top five on bottom). When docked the flaps are closed to prevent debris from getting in the engines. But when in use the flaps will open and the engines can be activated.

I plan of rigging both the warp engines and the main engine cowlings for animations.

I like this very much! The hybrid "nacelles with rings" on the Enviropod are a very cool concept.
